The supported versions of Excel include the following: Excel 2010, Excel 2013, Excel 2016, and Excel 2019. Although not explicitly supported, there are currently no known issues when using the add-in with Excel 2007.

The supported versions of Essbase include 9.3.0 and higher.

This release contains the following changes:

Essbase Retrieval

  • In previous releases, when a retrieve is performed on a sheet that contains a named retrieve range, such as Ess.Retrieve.Range.1, a user is able to select a range of cells within the named range and retrieve only the selected portion of the range, but the selected range cannot extend beyond the rows and/or columns in the named range. In 8.1.3, this limitation has been eliminated. In addition, a user may also retrieve a selected range of cells that does not intersect any named retrieve range on a sheet. #3152

Excel 2010

  • Fixed Issue: The following error occurs when attempting to run the Add-In in Excel 2010:

    Unable to cast COM object of type 'System.ComObject' to interface type Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Office.Runtime.Interop.ICustomTaskPaneSite'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{3CA8CD11-274A-41B6-A999-28562DAB3AA2}' failed due to the following error: No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE)). #3162
