Excel Add-In Version 8.2.1

The supported versions of Excel include the following: Excel 2013, Excel 2016, Excel 2019, Excel 2021, and Microsoft 365 Excel for Windows Desktop.

The supported versions of Essbase include 9.3.0 and higher.

The Release Notes contain the following sections:

  • Fixed Issue: When sending data from a system configured with a regional format that uses , as the decimal separator, data cells containing decimal numbers could be sent with an inappropriate locale identifier. This could result in the Essbase server rejecting the update and the Dodeca Add-In inserting an incorrect audit log record. #3358

  • Fixed Issue: In version 8.1.3.77, an error that prevented the Dodeca Add-In, version 8.x, from running in Excel 2010 was addressed. While the fix did resolve the issue, it also introduced an issue in Excel 365 that prevented another COM Add-In from being run when the Dodeca Add-In is enabled. In version 8.2.1, the fix has been removed. With this change, the Dodeca Add-In 8.2.1 and future versions will not support Excel 2010. #3337

  • Fixed Issue: In version 8.2.0.913, and possibly previous 8.x versions, the following error occurs when running a calculation: Unable to determine whether runtime variables are defined for the calculation "<calculation name>". Network error: Timed out before receiving all data This error was previously fixed in version 7.4.3.6279, but was reintroduced in a subsequent 8.x release. #3322
