Excel Add-In Version 8.3.0

The supported versions of Excel include the following: Excel 2013, Excel 2016, Excel 2019, Excel 2021, and Microsoft 365 Excel for Windows Desktop.

The supported versions of Essbase include 9.3.0 and higher.

This release contains the following changes:

Essbase Drillthrough

  • Fixed Issue: When drilling through to a native Essbase drillthough report with a data selection comprised of more than 1000 members of a given dimension, drillthrough can fail, because the Dodeca Excel Add-In cannot utilize temp tables with Oracle databases. In 8.3, utilization of temp tables during drillthrough execution is supported for Essbase versions 21.4 and higher. #3371

Essbase Options

  • A new Essbase option, Use Blank as Missing Label, controls whether a missing Essbase value is represented as a blank cell instead of as the value specified by the Missing Label in the Essbase Options dialog.

    The option is configured to be displayed in the Essbase Options dialog and to have a default value of False.
